Biography

Based in Essex, Charles Henry Baskett took up printmaking in 1910 and by 1922 had produced nearly 100 plates, almost all of these were aquatints depicting the low-lying countryside and coastline of the locality. These works were considered by his contemporaries to be some of the most accomplished aquatint landscapes of the period.
